Abused Women
With all the politics going on now I think that we tend to forget many issues that really matter. This is an issues that I hold close to my heart because my aunt lives in abuse almost everyday of her life and is to freaked to get out of it. So for all the women out there that have and might be abused remember that you should not put up with that kind of treatment ever!

Sorry If This Offends
It is kinda freaky if you really think about it. I laugh but then I can't help but wonder.

Politics Go McCain
This is an e-mail that I recieved yesterday that I thought I would share because I'm sick of hearing Obama this and Obama that.
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and an occasional chat with various professors, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes the next day because she's too hung over.'
Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That's a crazy idea. That would not be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!'
The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, 'Welcome to the Republican party.'
If anyone has a better explanation of the difference between a Republican and Democrat, I'm all ears.
And one more thing: Why would you want to vote for a man that will not even salute his own countries flag?

Lite Mind Boost
Since starting college a few years back I have not been able to sleep. I toss and turn and wake up 500 times a night and have to get up at the crack of dawn because I just can not turn my mind off at night.
So when I found "How to sleep better" on Litemind's list I knew that this was the experement for me to try. The most helpful that I found was keeping a sleeping scheduale -- even on the weekends. This was easy because I have been hunting for the past few weekends and I found this to be true. I had a much easier time getting up all week because I had got down a sleeping schedual. My mind knew when it was time to go to bed and was tired and my mind knew when it was time to go to get up.
The next thing that the list told me to do was to be sure and not eat or drink before bed. I always drink a glass of water before I go to bed so I stopped doing this. I'm not sure if this helped or not but I gave it a try and I did sleep pretty good.
Then the next thing killed me. It said not to sleep on my stomach. But sleeping on my stomach is the only way that I sleep. But I did it and it also said that you need to keep your head and neck in line so having a pillow that didnt elevate your head too much is a must. I usally sleep with two pillows so I really foud that this did help. It also suggested to sleep with a pillow between your legs if you need too. I didnt try this.
The next step was to make sure that the room was very dark. This would explain why I can't take naps because I need the dark to fall asleep.
This list also suggested that you should turn your mattress every few months so I did this. But I decided that it would not matter what why you turn my mattress because that thing is so uncomfortable.
The greatest advise that the list gave was to exercise so that your body is tired and wants to rest. This is so ture because after a few days of hiking around all I wanted to do was sleep and oh how I slept so good.
So ya I would say that there are a lot of helpful things in this list to help you sleep better so that your mind is fresh he next day.

A Whole New Mind (from my mind)
Like I said before in my other post I really did lke this book. I didnt enjoy reading it has fast as we did but that is school. One of the main points that I really liked was when he was talking about design. All you have to do is ask Dan and he can tell you that I hate design but I really liked when it talked about the design of the ballots during the 2004 election. Really all it came down to was bad design. That really got me thinking of all the things that I use in everyday life that could be improved upon in design to make the product better to use. I have my own cinch business and the cinch maker that I have could really use some improvments so that i could cut down my production time and thus make more money.Even though I will not be the making the design improvments at least I can see that there is a design flaw.I just used the right side of my brain.

A Whole New Mind
I hate reading but I really enjoyed this book because Pink had a lot of great ideas. I really hope that I will incorporte his ideas into my own life. I'm really wishing that i would of read this book before i started college.

August Rush
August Rush is such a great movie. My roommate and I love it. It has some of the greatest music -- Jonathan Rhys Meyers does such a great job sing all his own songs.

My YouTube Video
Well I never thought that I would finish this orject but I did. There are so many things that I would do differently just becuase I have learned so many things from trial and error. The way that I look at it is that I learned a lot from doing this project. So sorry this footage is not that great. You may have to replay the clips over to be able to choose your option because I did not relies that I did not make the clips long enough-- I'll do better next time.

The Zac Brown Band
I forgot to say what the video is that I posted below is about.
The guy singing is Zac Brown and he is my new fav. The song that he is siging, Whatever It Is, is the song that Jake and I are going to play at our wedding. I'm not going to have a traditional wedding but don't worry it is not going to be redneck either.
